KTB's Top 3 Make-up Trends to ROCK This Spring!

1.BOLD Lips: Rock this hott trend with red, fuchia, orange or hot pink!!

How to wear it: Keep the rest of your make-up minimal..fresh foundation and black mascara, while letting your lips attract all the attention. Muah!!

Try: MAC lipstick in Morange $15.00

2. Bright Eyes: Add a fun color such as pink, green, orange or blue...pastel to neon, experiment to see what works for you!

How to wear it: Choose your favorite funky color and apply it all over your lid..from the lash line to the crease. Add black eyeliner as close to the lash line as possible and a coat or 2 of black mascara! Wink!!

3.Liner Power: Simple classic winged liner..bold and feminine!! Either basic black, or a swipe of sunny YELLOW across your lash line! (straight from the runway!!)

How to wear it: Keep the rest of you face minimal..flawless skin and a hint of bronzer for warmth. Apply liner along lash line, thin towards the inner corner of your eye and thicker as you get to the outer corner of your eye. Flick the edge up for that classic winged effect. Black mascara and BOOM!!

It's FINALLY here!!! Kiss the Bride Make-up's "Beauty Party"!! We are so excited to start doing these parties again!! Ready, Set...GLOW!!!

A tan is the must-have accessory for spring/summer..not to mention your big day. Here is KTB's Guide to the "do it yourself" tan =) *Did you know: A tan can INSTANTLY make you appear 10 pounds thinner!! Gotta love that! Prep your skin: Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate: I repeat, exfoliate. Exfoliating gets rid of all the icky dead skin cells that have not shed on their own. Starting with freshly exfoliated skin will ensure a smooth even color with no embarrassing blotches! And don't forget to shave!! Use either textured scrub gloves with your favorite body wash or your favorite body scrub in the shower. Tan baby: Apply self tanner to clean dry skin. Make sure to take your time and cover all areas. (You may need a helper to get your back) Choose a self tanner with a tint so you can see any missed areas. It is also helpful to rub a bit of regular lotion over knees, elbows and ankles after tanner to keep dry areas from absorbing too much color. Also, don't forget to WASH YOUR HANDS after applying tanner!! KTB highly recommends Bare Escentuals Faux Tan $22.00..it's tinted and gives an amazing perfect color..every time!! *for those who want just a hint of color or for "newbies"..try a gradual self-tanning moisturizer like Jergen's Natural Glow $8.99. It only adds a bit of color at a time and you can use it everyday to build the tan gradually. Dry & develop: Make sure to give yourself time to dry before putting on clothing. We recommend wearing dark loose-fitting clothes while your tanner is developing. Full color results should be seen in 4-8 hours (depending on the brand) STAY DRY! Don't let any water get on your skin!! Fix boo-boos: Use a mixture of baking soda and lemon juice on a washcloth to fix any dark spots or tan palms! If your fingernails, toenails or cuticle areas absorbed too much color try applying a facial bleaching cream to the areas for about 10 mins. *OR if you don't want to do it yourself...try a professional!!! What a weekend!! =)

WOO HOO!!! What a terrific weekend we had!!! CONGRATULATIONS to Amira and her new husband, who got married on Saturday!! Such a beautiful, calm, and fun bride and one of the best looking bridal parties we have ever had the opportunity to do make-up on!! SIMPLY GORGEOUS!!!
And then there was today, aka "Sunday Funday"! We had the honor to do Heidi's make-up for the 2010 Emmy Award's! How fabulous is that? She was so sweet, thankful, and not to mention gorgeous! Let's all route for her T.V. show, Mad Men, to win some Emmy's tonight!! WOOP WOOP!!

Oh my gosh such a fabulous day today!!!! We had the PLEASURE of being a part of Amber Stuteville's wedding and it was fantastic!! Wedding season!! WOOP!!!

Yay!! July is FINALLY here, and is actually the start of non stop weddings for us until October and then our schedule mellows out for a few weeks!! We are soooo excited for everything that we have accomplished in the past year and a half with Kiss the Bride and we are so pumped about all of our future endeavors!!! Thanks to all of our friends, family, brides, and everyone in general who has supported us and what we do!! Kiss the Bride Make-up for life!!! =)

PS. We are so sorry for our extremely lame and boring blogs (or lack there of) lately!! We have just made our "New years(aka Month) " resolution, and that is to start blogging again!! I have to be honest its just been super difficult making time to blog with business getting so busy and having a fabulous new puppy to take care of!! =) BUT, enough with the excuses its time to get to work!! Souly Wedding Vendors Bridal Soriee

Hey guys!! So last Thursday we went to a bridal show put on by Soulmates Bridal Boutique at the Ventura Crowne Plaza. First of all that hotel is unbelievable, SO beautiful! Next the party was such a success! Amazing vendors, gorgeous brides, and a fabulous fashion show! One thing i love about the Souly Wedding Vendors shows is that they are very personable! They are not like every other show , there isn't an overwhelming amount of people there and you get to have one on one experiences with your potential vendors. Th e shows always end up great and we cant wait for the next!! Thanks to Vanessa and Megan who own Soulmates Bridal Boutique for putting together this awesome event!!!
